I am so happy to be part of the Westlawn Community! This will be my third year at Westlawn and my third year in 2nd grade. Previously, I taught Kindergarten and First Grade. I am from Springfield, Virginia and currently live in Alexandria, Virginia. In my free time I like to run, hike and spend time with family and friends.

Jescah Chore joined Westlawn Elementary School as a General Education IA in August 2019. Before then, she was a general education teacher at Word of Life Christian Academy in Springfield, VA. This is her second year at Westlawn as a special education teacher. She loves spending time with family and going for evening walks. 

Hello! My name is Rida Alami, I have been an ESOL teacher for 15 years and I joined Westlawn in 2020. Westlawn became my second home as soon as I joined, it’s an awesome community to be part of. I am originally from Lebanon and I am an ESOL student myself. I really enjoy working with Language Learners and I feel I can personally connect with them and their experiences. Our team is awesome to work with and everybody is constantly collaborating to use effective instructional strategies to help students become actively involved in their learning objectives.

Hi! I have been a member of the Westlawn community since 2011. I work with my teams to ensure our students have quality instruction and become life-long learners. Westlawn has become my second home, and I enjoy working with the staff, students and the community at large. In my free time, I love traveling and spending time with my family and friends. I am honored to be part of the Westlawn community.
