Westlawn's Technology Initiative

Westlawn Elementary School is committed to providing students with the technology needed to maximize their academic learning and growth. The school has a purchase plan over the next three years (2017-2020) to add and/or replace computers. Currently, there are 811 computers and iPads at Westlawn ES. During the 2016 - 2017 school year, every student in Grade 5 received an individual laptop to use at school in connection with the Global Awareness Technology Project. During the 2017 - 2018 school year, students in Grades 3, 4 and 6 will be included in the initiative. Students in Grades 1 and 2 will receive computers to replace desktops and decrease the ratio of computers to students. The goal is one computer per child by 2020.
