Kindergarteners Experience Their First Field Trip
On Thursday, November 3, Westlawn kindergarteners got to experience their first field trip of their K-12 journeys! The kindergarteners got to make the journey to Cox Farms in Centreville to experience their fall festival activities: pumpkin picking, goat feeding, going down giant slides, and more! To make the day even more special, kindergarten teachers organized a set of tie-dyed t-shirts for each class to help keep students organized and easily spotted while on this amazing adventure. Here’s what our community had to say about the day:
- “My favorite thing was the hayride because there was so much fun silly stuff.” -Ms. Tolbert's student
- “I liked the dinosaur slide; it’s really fun and fast and so high.” -Ms. Tolbert's student
- “I like best being with my friends.” -Ms. Tolbert's student
- “We got to go crazy down the big slides, feel little goat kisses, and swing on the super fun swing. It was so fun." - Ms. Roundtree's class
We have published a few images from the field trip in our gallery here, with many more available for viewing on our Facebook post! If you were a family member chaperone on the trip, we encourage you to add your favorite photos of the day on Facebook for our community to enjoy together!
