We are Title I! What does that mean?

Westlawn is a Title I school, which means we receive federal funding to supplement our existing programs. We have this designation due to the percent of students identified as receiving free or reduced meals. (Although all students receive free meals this year at Westlawn, it remains important for eligible families to fill out the paperwork that indicates their eligibility for free and reduced meals, so that we can continue to have the data we need to prove our need for Title I funds. If your family is eligible and you need support with the forms, please contact Ms. Caballero.)

Principal Hill spoke about what it means to be a Title I school and how we spend our funds at the Community Conversation on September 4. The slides from the presentation are below. Please view the slides, watch the video, and then fill out the attendance form in English or fill out the attendance form in Spanish to help us meet our outreach and education goal.
