Mrs. Layton is joining the Westlawn team as a music teacher.

What excites you most about joining the Westlawn community?

I am thrilled to be in Fairfax County! Everyone I have spoken with has been kind and welcoming. 

Tell us a little more about yourself!

I am so excited to be a part of the Westlawn community! My wife, daughter, and our two cute pups, Teddy and Toby have just moved to Virginia from Florida. Our son, Logan, is in the Air Force and stationed in Florida. We hope he comes to visit Virginia soon! We are sad to say goodbye to Mickey but excited for all that Northern Virginia has to offer. I have taught elementary and middle school music for 28 years. Some of my favorite ensembles are World Drumming, Chorus, and Mallets (Orff). My family loves game nights, paint nights, and our latest craze, Disney dinner and a movie night. My daughter plans a meal based on a Disney movie. We cook together and then enjoy our meal with one of our favorite Disney movies.
