Ms. Irving is joining the Westlawn team as the pre-kindergarten teacher.

What excites you most about joining the Westlawn community?

I'm looking forward to being back in a classroom and teaching pre-kindergarten students.

Tell us a little more about yourself!

I have lived in Fairfax County my whole life and graduated from WT Woodson High School. This is my 20th year teaching with FCPS. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, ESOL, preschool special education within the class-based and resource level and pre-kindergarten. I live in Oakton with my 13-year-old son Alex and my two Siamese cats, Drako and Tetra. The most recent out of country trip I have taken was to Tanzania where I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro 3 years ago with a friend. My favorite color is blue and I am a big Caps fan! Every summer I go to Michigan to visit extended family.
