Ms. Mendoza is re-joining the Westlawn team as a second grade teacher. Prior to this year, Ms. Mendoza was a long-term substitute in third grade for Mrs. Yost and an intern in sixth grade with Mrs. Ladd. 

What excites you most about re-joining the Westlawn community?

I am excited to meet my new students and their families and I can't wait to celebrate and have fun at all the family night events such as Bingo Night and/ Art Night. 

Tell us a little more about yourself!

Hi! My name is Karen Mendoza. This will be my third year at Westlawn Elementary but it will be my first year as a second grade teacher! I completed my student internship and have been a substitute for all grades K-6 here at Westlawn. A few facts about myself: I am the first in my family to graduate from college, I have one brother, Andy, and during my free time, I love to read mystery/thriller books, do yoga, and draw.
