Ms. Rubinger is joining the Westlawn team as a kindergarten teacher.

What excites you most about joining the Westlawn community?

I am excited to meet and connect with all of the families, as well as participate in community events! I am also thrilled to be working with such kind and hard-working teachers and staff!

Tell us a little more about yourself!

I have been teaching for three years, in which I moved up with many of my students from Pre-K4 to first grade. I am thrilled to be going back to kindergarten! I went to the University of Virginia for my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Johns Hopkins University for my Master's of Elementary Education. I am the youngest of four girls in my family, and we are all pet lovers. I have two cats named Winnie and Roo, because I loved Winnie the Pooh as a child. My favorite food is any kind of pasta, my favorite ice cream is cookies and cream, and my favorite candy is Reese's cups. I love playing candy crush on my phone and watching sports in my free time, especially the Washington Capitals hockey team and the Washington Spirit women's soccer team.
