Ms. Erin Theiss (pronounced TICE) is joining the Westlawn team as an assistant principal.

What excites you most about joining the Westlawn community?

I am most excited about having the honor to join such an amazing community! 

Tell us a little more about yourself!

I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and then attended College of Charleston in Charleston, SC for my undergrad degree in Elementary Education. I taught upper elementary in Charleston starting with all subjects then departmentalized with a focus on STEM and Literacy. I attended Columbia University in New York for my Master's in School Building Leadership. I was an Assistant Principal in Chicago, IL for two years and then in Puyallup, WA for two years. My husband, Walter, and dog, Bruce, and I just moved to Virginia this past summer. We love to travel, spend time with our friends and family, host game nights, and try out new restaurants! I also enjoy hiking, farmers markets, reading, and a really good cup of coffee!
