Westlawn Students Celebrate the 100th Day of School
Westlawn students and staff celebrated the 100th day of school last week on February 13. Celebration activities included:
- Counting 100 items.
- Building puzzles with 100 pieces.
- Building puzzles made from a 100 counting chart.
- Making pictures with 100 dots.
- Doing 100 exercises (10 sets of 10 exercises at a time).
- Coloring pages and doing worksheets or projects related to 100, such as using the numerals in “100” to create part of a picture.
- Stacking 100 plastic cups with a team.
- Searching for 100 Hershey’s kisses hidden around a classroom and plotting them on a 100 chart.
- Creating celebration headbands.
- Receiving visits from local superhero Zero the Hero, the Queen of Tens, and the Queen’s Royal Court.
