Westlawn Celebrates Student Musicians with the Winter Band and Strings Concert
On December 10, 2024, Westlawn again celebrated its student musicians at the winter band and strings concert. The concert featured four songs by the strings students under the direction of Ms. Emery, and four songs by the band students under the direction of Westlawn's new band director, Ms. Riddle. Check out the Jingle Bell Stroll!
Select students in band and strings walked around the building on Friday, December 20, playing Jingle Bells in each hallway and gathering space. It was marvelous!
More strings students than ever before participated in the 2024 Jingle Bell Stroll!
Students enjoy performing all over the school.
It is a very serious--and fun--job!
Many strings students played the violin.
It was by far the most popular!
But, we also had a couple of cello players!
The band also played in the Jingle Bell Stroll.
It was Ms. Riddle's first stroll at Westlawn!
Students from each instrument category represented!
Even the percussion section showed up, carrying their things from place to place!
