Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle Makerspace Items

We are looking to restock our makerspace cart! Here's what we need:

• Bubble wrap
• Small boxes (small shoe sized)
• Flat sheets of cardboard
• Paper towel tubes
• Disposable cups (all sizes)
• Matchbox type cars
• Empty and clean 2-liter plastic bottles

Items can be dropped off to the main office to the attention of Gretchen Maxwell through the end of March.

Help Us Build a Bench Out of Soft Plastics

Did you know that it is possible to turn soft plastic bags, like bread bags, into a bench? We want to try it, but we need 1,000 pounds soft plastic to make it happen. Soft plastics include things like:

• grocery bags
• bread bags
• bubble wrap
• dry cleaning bags
• newspaper sleeves
• ice bags
• plastic shipping envelopes
• Ziploc (and other recloseable) food storage bags
• case overwrap (the stuff that keeps 24 small bottles of water together)
• salt bags
• pallet wrap and stretch film
• wood pellet bags
• produce bags

All donated soft plastics must be dry and clean to be used. We suggest that families fill up a plastic grocery bag with other types of soft plastics, and send it in once full. Bags can be sent to the office.
